NEW SLIK AF-1100 Trigger-Action Digital Ball Head
LONG BEACH, CA. (March 2, 2005) -- THK Photo Products, Inc., announces the AF-1100 compact trigger-action digital ball head.
SLIK considers the AF-1100 the “Digital Little Brother” of the enormously successful AF- 2100, the original trigger-action ball head that sparked a revolution in ball head design nearly 20 years ago. The AF 2100 still remains a best-seller to this day.
The SLIK AF-1100 uses a patented design that allows the trigger handle to release tension on the ball when it is squeezed and lock the ball head in any position by simply releasing the trigger handle. This innovative action allows the camera to be pointed in almost any direction with ease, making a tripod mounted camera feel like more of an extension of the body.
The AF 1100 is more compact and light-weight than it predecessor, making it a perfect fit for today’s high end digital point and shoot cameras as well as the latest compact digital SLR’s (Olympus C-8080, E-Volt, Canon PRO 1, Digital Rebel XT).
Weighing just 16.2 oz the AF-1100 is lighter than models by other manufacturers, making is specially suited for light-weight carbon fiber or SLIK AMT alloy tripods.
