LONG BEACH, CA. (August 12, 2004) - THK Photo Products, Inc., announces the introduction of the TELE BALANCE 6 fluid head with Cam-Balancer System.
Until now, in situations where there is action to be photographed and a long lens like a 600mm F/4 is required, the best option for easy movement had been a gimbaled style tripod head.
SLIK introduces a better option for photographers that need to follow the action with heavy lenses. The SLIK TELE BALANCE 6 is a professional fluid head designed for perfectly smooth camera movements. With a gimbaled head, if you want to position the camera at an angle and keep it there, you had to hold it yourself or use a friction lock to hold it. Locking the lens down means it cannot be moved from that position smoothly and easily until it is released.
The SLIK TELE BALANCE 6 has an infinitely adjustable Cam Balancer System that perfectly counterbalances the camera/lens so that it will stay at any angle without you having to hold it in position or lock the movement of the head.
The moving parts of the TELE BALANCE 6 glide smoothly in a sealed oil-filled head that make for effortless movements of telephoto lenses up to nearly 18 lbs. For following the action in sports, or in nature, a professional fluid head makes your camera and lens feel more like an extension of your body.
